With the DECIDO portal public administrations have the possibility of discovering heterogenous data and services and thus, ensuring an evidence-based approach for their policies. Therefore, the DECIDO platform will be able to work with data coming from heterogeneous sources, such as EOSC and other third parties. The external data is imported to the DECIDO platform through the DECIDO Data harvester. The Data Catalogue makes this data visible to the users and provides data descriptions and search functionalities. The data descriptions follow the DECIDO data model based on standardized vocabularies.
As the DECIDO portal allows users not only to view data but rather work with the data, a so-called Project Manager is part of the DECIDO architecture. It provides users the ability to define own areas (projects), in which they can collect data, data analysis scripts, data analysis results and collaboratively work with other users. In the next step, the collected data can be analyzed using the Data Analysis component of the DECIDO architecture. This component provides several functionalities such as the visualization of data, definition and computing own performance indicators to analyze the impact of policies, writing and executing own data analysis scripts or performing image data analytics.
Besides, the DECIDO portal also contains components which allows the user to define a workflow through the different operations in the platform, to collect structured feedback of users to the policy documents and other materials shared during the co-creation process, and to gain knowledge through the provision of best practices of data driven policy management.
All these components will be integrated in one user-friendly online environment, allowing users to discover and identify heterogenous data and services and to manage the life cycle of policies.
