On 13 December 2022, the 2022 edition of Data for Policy CIC convened at VUB Campus in Brussels. The Data for Policy conference series is the premier global forum for multiple disciplinary and cross-sector discussions around the theories, applications and implications of data science innovation in governance and the public sector. The conference takes place in Asia (Hong Kong), America (Seattle) and Europe (Brussels). The Brussel-based leg of the conference has been organized and co-hosted by Francesco Mureddu, senior director at The Lisbon Council.

In that regard, Antonio Filograna, coordinator of DECIDO, presented the project at the session “Data usage improving public policies and policymaking” carried out and facilitated by the Data Driven Policy Cluster, talking about how to share data and what kind of data should be shared.

One key point: #rawdata must be open and food for #datascientist, but after their analysis, the derived #information is what we should communicate to the #policymakers.

The #businessmodel and the #exploitation of the solutions should be based on this information.

More details on parallel sessions and the complete programs are available on the official website.
