On 23 March, at the headquarters of the project partner Volontariato Torino ETS, a presentation event of the DECIDO project was held as part of the Biennale Democrazia, a City of Turin cultural programme now in its eighth edition.

The purpose of the event was to illustrate the results achieved so far by the project initiative, but also to present the co-creation method as a useful tool for co-planning and co-decision-making, in order to actively involve citizens in the definition of intervention protocols in the event of an emergency.

In Turin in particular, three scenarios are being field-tested with the use of the co-creation method: intervention protocols in the event of a flood emergency in the city; the reduction of food waste generated in the charitable food distribution chain; and the overcoming of social and linguistic barriers that hinder the local reception of Ukrainian refugees.

In addition to the representatives of the Turin cluster (Volontariato Torino, City of Turin, KPRF), the event was attended by Francesco Tresso, the Councillor of the City of Turin for Civil Protection and some stakeholders of the three different scenarios.
